The Teen Big 4: Harapan

Each of the Big 4 was interviewed by  Toni Gonzaga  where they were asked about the most controversial issues they encountered during their stay inside Big Brother’s house.

Karen courageously and spontaneously answered those issues that generated positive comments from the viewers and the jurors MJ Felipe, Ms.  Janice De Belen and Ms. Yayo Aguila.

“At least si Karen, nung nakita niya yung video, tanggap niya."

"Si Karen kasi...she knew what is wrong, and she admitted it, she accepted it...She’s real.” - Ms. Janice De Belen

“I admire her."

"For me, I was surprised by Karen. Cause hindi ko na expect na maging ganun siya sa pagsagot sa mga tanong. She was very real. It's hard to accept yung pagkakamali mo. Sinasabihan niya ang sarili niya na nagbago ako. Na naging malandi ako, na hindi ako yan. Tinanggap niya. So dun ako na impress." - MJ Felipe

Karen realizes her faults and  admitted that she really was unaware of her actions but she’s willing to change.  And I guess that's all that matters.  I  knows she’s not perfect and she’s not aiming to be one  but definitely she’s real.

"Ngayon ko pa lang po nakilala sarili ko. Ayaw ko sa maarte, pero nung napanood ko... Parang ang arte naman nyan!"

 The Big Test 

 

The Big 4 faces a new challenge where they were asked by Big Brother to prepare  their most valued things and present it to their comrades.  Karen brought this things and explained it to them :

Rosary: The rosary which her mom owned and source of strength since his father’s death.

Black Jeans: Serves as her lucky charm. She wears it during Eviction Nights and  the same jeans she  had when it was announced that she is part of Big 4.

Pony Tail:  The one she’s always wearing when she is dancing, when they compete in Showtime and during her auditions to PBB.

First Test: 

To let go of all these things in exchange for the flag that symbolizes their dream.

"Yes. Kahit na po gaano po kahalaga siya, mas mahalaga pa rin po na pahalagahn ko ang sarili ko at ang pananamplataya ko."

Second Test: 

To destroy or burn an important thing from each Housemate to proved their great desire to become a Big Winner.

Karen after thoroughly thinking about it, finally decided not to destroy those things.

“Hindi ko po magagawang sumira ng ibang pangarap. Kuya, hindi ko po magagawang sumira o sunugin ang bagay na mahalaga sa kanya. Malaking honor na po sa akin ang makapasok sa Big 4. At ayaw ko pong gumawa ng desisyon na pagsisihan ko po sa huli.”

After that episode last night, I was even more proud of Karen.  Some  people thought that she would destroy other people things but she proved them wrong. For her, friendship is far more significant than hurting her friends’ feeling just to achieve her dream. Karen respected the importance of such things and the memories behind it . 

And its true. What's the essence of attaining your dream if it will mean losing your friends in the process? 

Side Dish

When it was announced that she’s part of Big 4, Karen jumped for joy, hugged the Housemates and thanked God. 

“Yung paa ko nakatapak pa rin s lupa, wala pa rin nagbago, ako pa din yung Karen na tawa ng tawa.”
