Karen: Dreaming and Living Big After PBB

After announced as the Second Teen Big Placer, the Hagikhik Chick from Oriental Mindoro, was amazed as how many people actually supported her throughout her 90 – day journey inside Big Brother’s House.  Despite being tagged as “the frank, strong, independent- minded girl”, Karen still managed to capture the hearts of many people, teens and teens at heart.

Predicted by many  to be one of those who will make it big in the entertainment industry, not just for her pretty face that resembled Angelica Panganiban and Angel Locsin, but for her prowess in acting, as shown in special episodes of PBB, Karen is now starting her Showbiz career.

Buktot Beach : A Hidden Beauty in Mansalay

Are you a beach type of person? So I guess, you’ve been to Boracay or Puerto Galera or Palawan to take a dip in their blue waters or stroll down their finest and white sands.

I seldom go for a beach walk but when I heard about the virgin White Beach in Buktot, Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro, I've become super excited. The only white beach I’ve visited so far, is the one in Puerto Galera. So, we’ve made plans to visit the place and  last August 2011 we finally set foot on one of the many  hidden beauties of Oriental Mindoro. 

The name "Buktot" came from a native dialect term which means "hunchback". The place, they say is shaped like a hunch.

Don’t Mess With Writers

With the emergence of social netwoking sites, readers can now easily search for their favorite writers online. You can now chat with them, share your opinions in their posts or tweets, and make certain requests.  For me, its way better now unlike before where writers seems a thousand miles away from us.

But always remember this dear readers: don’t mess with writers especially those in fiction category.

Don’t steal their boyfriends,  

don’t do anything unpleasant to their families,

don’t gossip their friends,

 don’t try exhausting their very long patience,

don’t copy their works

and don’t say anything bad behind their backs.

For they might take revenge on you in their next work. You’ll be surprised to  wake up one day reading your name being murdered in her or her co-writers novel.

The Best of the Movie "3 Idiots"

Have you already watched the Indian Movie "3 Idiots" ? If your answer is no, you better find time to watch it. It is a very great movie full of fun, adventure, lessons, laughter and touching scenes.

Sa Isang Sulyap Mo: Kit and Karen's Story (♥ KitEn ♥)

First  love team na nagustuhan ko talaga sa PBB is Kiten. Kumbaga sa pag-ibig,  sila ang first love ko. Sila ang unang dahilan kaya sinubaybayan ko ang PBB Teen Edtion 4.  It's because they both have great personality plus they’re both gorgeous and their chemistry is really strong it instantly affected a lot viewers sa first week pa lang ng PBB.  They were really  a perfect match back then. 

But something suddenly went wrong. They parted ways. Nag-iwasan sila sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya. They said hurtful words that totally ended what they have then. Isa ako sa mga nalungkot. I don’t know why it happened. Maybe, blame it to their childish ways of thinking . Blame it to their surroundings.  Blame it to the fact that they seem alike, they easily clash. They fall in love so fast it ended as fast as well. 

Long Live King of Comedy: Dolphy

After courageously battling  pneumonia for the past years, The King of Comedy, Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr , popularly known as "Dolphy", have died last night at 83. The nation is in  mourning for the loss of this great comedian.

 

I grew up watching only one of his movie "Home Along Da River" where Dolphy played a prisoner father who worked as a driver-bodyguard for his own son and daughter, but he is greatly known for his role as Kevin Cosme in  "Home Along Da Riles",

PBB Teen Edition 4: Winners and Reactions

My blog about the BFF at the Big Night came a bit late because I’m really disappointed with the results. I  can’t believe The Double Biba from Bacolod Jai and Joj Agpangan came 4^th Place , Roy Requejo ended in 3^rd Place, Karen Reyes landed  in  2^nd Place and  Myrtle Sarrosa winning  the title Teen Big Winner.

I’m hoping Karen would win but if not, it would be okay for me if either The Twins or Roy be declared  Teen Big Winner. I never did  like Myrtle. I can feel  she’s holding back something about herself and I know thousand other people out there share the same sentiment so please don’t hate me.  I’m just voicing out my personal opinion.

After announced as Teen Big Winner, netizens both showed appreciation and disappointment as evidenced by trending topics  Congrats Myrtle and #HindiKaDeservingMyrtle on Twitter.

Maalala Mo Kaya: Manika

One of the most controversial episode of Maalala Mo Kaya (MMK on its 20^th Year) is the Manika episode aired last Sarurday, June 30, 2012. The story revolves on Nene (greatly played by Jane Oineza) who love her mother so much and just want for their family to be whole again, finds herself being abused repeatedly by her stepfather with her mother’s consent.

                

It’s heartbreaking to see such episode wherein a mother, which should be protector and who would sacrifice everything for her children in many cases, portrayed a different role. In this case, Nene’s mother, Cora, a drug dependent, afraid of being left again by her second husband, agreed to let her daughter be used by her husband so to stop his womanizing.  Nene pleaded for her mothers help but Cora end up even helping her husband. 

                              

You would probably say, no mother in her right mind, will do such thing to her daughter. And you are right. I just pitied her mother for letting herself be influenced by drugs and be drowned in too much obsession for her husband's attention and love.
