Searing pain,
trembling soul
Misty eyes,
broken goals
Speechless
tongue, bruised confidence
Crying spirit,
life with no sense.
Moving on, all
pretensions
Sleepless
nights, no directions,
Hurting hearts,
can’t carry on
Mending wounds
yet memories still strong.
Parting words,
lingering still
Vows and
promises, all are nil
Burying the
past, forgetting the pain.
Hoping to find
one self again.
